Why's she acting all fidgety and nervous near me. Do I scare her?

There's a girl I've noticed recently that has been acting extremely weird around me. She's pretty attractive and I talk to her a bit. When we're in the same class and sees me she'd act all fidgety and nervous and plays around with her hair and clothing. She'd also get near me and sit on my table. I catch her starring at me sometimes and when she sees me it's as if she panics. I try to talk to her but she stutters or sometimes turns away or walks away. My friends recently caught her looking me up and down and checking me out and looking embarrassed afterwards. I've caught her starring at me from afar also. I've tried to talk to her many times but she walks away or is on her phone sometimes but stands close. I'm not sure why she acts like this? Is she scared of me or does she like me?

In your age range she’s likely really shy and/or nervous. She may not have experience talking to boys or anything as well so if this is her having a crush, you’d probably have to make the first move.

So are these signs indicative she has a crush. How'd you recommend asking her out if she is shy and inexperienced?

Unfortunately I’m not really sure, since you mentioned that every time you try talking to her she walks off. I don't know if notes are still a thing but back in high school that’s what the person who had a crush on me did lol we’d pass each other like once a day so he took an opportunity to give me a note one day with his social media to add him (it was way less intimidating than him giving me his phone number). So I added him on Facebook and he messaged me first.
