Girls, When you call a guy cute what do you mean most of the time?

I always felt like this is a purposely vague compliment women give.

I’ve had women say this and literally want to bang right there and then. I’ve had other women say this who had zero romantic interest but found my personality enjoyable.

I got the hots for him and it’s a sexual hint.
I’m interested in him. Not immediately hot for him though. He’s definitely has potential. That’s a “signal” I am open to him approaching me slowly.
I say that too all guys I find non-threatening whether are attractive or not. I purposely keep it vague.
When I really want a guy I will call him anything besides cute. But when I meet an unattractive guy with good personality I’ll call him “cute” as a platonic compliment to be purposely vague. But I feel like it’s boosting his ego to hear that from a woman.
I call everybody or anything cute. There is no veiled, fake or real romantic undertones to it.

I also said “most of the time”. Most woman never mean just one thing with the same words from my experience.
