Why is it a girl is more chatty with me when the 2 of us are alone?

I've noticed if I'm talking to another lady she comes over and stands with us but doesn't stay long or say anything. She then wonders off and doesn't talk to anyone. But then she makes more effort to talk to me when I'm alone. She and I had a really good conversation when it was just the 2 of us.

Because some people get shy talking a lot in front of groups of people. Especially if their not very close friends.

There are a lot of reasons for this but I think one of the most important ones to understand is that a person can be shy and afraid of expressing (or revealing) themselves in a way that it's hard to control other people's perception of them.

People like that tend to have strong opinions (usually about themselves) that they will not defend if they are challenged.

People in general are more friendly in a one-on-one setting. I've seen plenty of dudes that are complete dicks in group settings be civilized and chill in a one-on-one setting... chicks are no different.

I even made the effort to keep her company when she was by herself and everyone else was outside. She made some small talk and teased me a little I was trying to put something together and it wasn't working out. She started laughing and said " sorry I shouldn't laugh". I joked back and said " none taken haha this is going to shit as it is"
