Should I have complained about this lady?

I was shopping and had taken a few dresses to the change room. On my way out, the lady was counting the number of dresses while I was holding them.

Then she took the dresses from me and put them on the rack much to my surprise.

I said can I have the dresses she hesitated and said which ones, and I took most of them.

She then said, you’re taking all of those? in a bit of a condescending way.

I was surprised and wanted to say something back but didn’t know what to.

Probably just trying to organize things. Women like to try on 10 outfits and don’t buy a single one & leave it there. Imagine that all day
