Am I an asshole for not trying to make this lady feel better?

I was at a mental health person to see my therapist. While I was waiting in the waiting room, it was me, and a couple of what looked to be teenage girls. There was this lady probably in her early 40s just freaking out because her insurance wouldn't cover whatever she wanted to do. I think she was in crises and wanted to talk to a therapist. She said something like "I keep freaking out in public, and that's why I keep going to jail!" She was going on and on. I don't know for sure, but I think she was looking at me. I kept my eyes off her, but I felt her looking at me. She was like "and people just sit there and don't try in help me!". I didn't know wtf to say to her, and I was afraid that if I tried to calm her down, she might go off on me. Eventually a mental health professional came to talk to her, and they found out she had the right insurance to cover it. I just feel kinda bad because she seemed like a decent person just having a hard time. When I came back out an hour later after talking to my therapist, the lady was sitting on the ground, and giving me an evil look, and I just left.
