Using my girlfriend's account but why is she so embarrassed but something so normal as farting?

Just to give some context. My girlfriend is a very classy lady. She will never burp, fart, or use the bathroom when she knows I'm around. Well she has always been a soccer player since she was 12 years old and she plays for her university. A while ago, she had a bad injury and got put on crutches. Took her a while to get the hang of using them and she would sometimes require my help to get around the apartment. Well we were watching a movie in bed and all of a sudden she gets up and is about three-quarters of the way to the bathroom. As she is mid-swing on her crutches, I hear the cutest toot escape from her backside. She immediately drops on the couch and busts out laughing. I'm still in shock because we've lived together for almost three years and this is the first time I've heard her fart. I'm like laughing in disbelief and say... what was that? She gasps from laughter and goes... my ass. She's beet red and we are both on the floor laughing our asses off. She goes... I'm so embarrassed right now. Stop laughing at me! Her eyes go all big and she's like pleading with me to stop making fun of her. Something about how shy she looked and that we shared this hilarious yet vulnerable moment just makes me so in love. I hugged her and go... it happens. I'm not judging you for it. We cuddled for the rest of the night and she woke up the next morning like... I'm so sorry about last night. I seriously can't get over how embarrassing it was. I'm going to my parents' for a bit. I'm so confused because I don't think this is as big of a deal as she thinks it is? How do I get her to realize that this made her more endearing to me? Like I appreciate she wants to be sexy for me, but this is by far not a deal breaker. Why do girls react this way?
