Why do women hate “homewreckers” more than their cheating boyfriend/husband?

As a guy I have never understood this. Wouldn’t you have higher expectation for the man, who is meant to represent self discipline?

I think a lot of women who were married and found out their husbands cheated on them usually feel an intense betrayal by him but also the other woman ( if she knew he was married). I'm pretty sure all women know 1st hand how painful it is to be cheated on. So to find out that a woman would go ahead and offer herself to a man knowing he is in a serious relationship is disgusting. We don't deal with the same sex drive/temptation as a man. Not giving men the ok at all, he's wrong on so many levels to cheat... But realistically thinking, it's a lot easier for a woman to say no to sex than it is for a man.

So I don't think they hate the woman more, it's just that we know how our brain works and how easy it is to not pursue a married man. Now there are some women that will take the man back as of he did nothing wrong and blame the other woman. Something is wrong with them...

1) but is it really the woman pursuing the man? Sometimes it’s the cheater disparately pursuing the “homewrecker”
2) yes men have stronger sex drive, women may not crave sex but they still crave attention, especially young women.

1) I have been the girl being pursued by married men or men in relationships. It is very easy to say no.
2) When I wanted attention I got it from my own boyfriend and if I didn't have him I'd get it from a single man.

Do you think “homewreckers” should be publicly shamed/socially ostracized? Especially by fellow women? Is that like an implicit rule among girls to shame any girl who steals a boyfriend/taken man

Well I wouldn't do that, karma usually catches up to them eventually.

I’m very glad to see that in this day and age, a lot more women will hold the guy accountable, because at the end of the day he was the one who was unfaithful. Of course there’s varying reasons why a woman would pointedly blame who he cheated with, like if she knew he was in a relationship and still engaged. But for the most part, to me blaming the woman more is just the guys’ partner wanting to deflect the blame from him, especially if they still have hopes for the relationship to work or aren’t done with him yet. Mentally it’s easier to get rid of what they perceive is the problem (the other woman), when in reality it’s their cheating partner because he will do it again.

On that same token I think Mena ND women are equally condemned for cheating. I know I certainly treat both genders equally in that regard.
