How rude was this on a scale of 1-10?

I was ordering at a restaurant and being a bit picky about things and I asked them to cut a wrap for me in half and the girl literally said there's a knife behind you, you can use that, (butter knifes). I'm surprised I didn't roll my eyes at her.

I was like you don't cut it skeptically, she said no. I was tempted to push this further, decided I didn't have the energy to argue and was like whatever.

For the record, no way in hell a butter knife can cut a wrap.

As far as requests go I don't think it was that picky of a request. But by your own admission you were already being picky so maybe that was the last straw. Reminds me of a friend I was with that was at a ace that gave us a commentary free meal for the job we'd done for them. My friend made his order very specific and even when he placed it the oder taker said to him in a half joking way the " cut in half was the final straw lol. If someone gives you something you shouldn't be picky about what they give you. I don't think it's that big of a deal to cut a wrap. a lot of wraps come cut. But I also don't know what all these people were dealing with.

Hello it was paid. Of course i'm going to be picky I'm the customer. I just feel like this place has bad customer service.

I mean I asked them if the coffee I was getting was sweet, and then asked them how many pieces of chicken came in the combo as I was ordering for my family.

She answered and then said it comes in a wrap I said oh can you just have the chicken seperately (I HATE wraps), she said no. I said okay.

I said as an afterthought can you cut the wrap in half (intending to share it with my family). She just rudely said about the knives honestly if there wasn't a line up behind me I'd be rude back. Even though I struggle with being rude because I'm so nice irl lol

And you're free to not go back. You may be paying but that doesn't make them your b****. It's been my experience that the people who are generally the pickiest people. Are the people who lack the concept of actual work. Because they seldom do much of it.

The people who are the pickiest are usually the most hard-working, this is why they are unable to fathom how someone can be so mediocre.

And cutting a sandwich in half is not work what the hell lol

There wasn't anything remotely condescending about my tone, I really was just ordering for my family too.

I think this girl seems dumb and inexperienced in serving, she would have realized probably I'm sharing the food with someone else too.

I can see that, and get it. I think back at all the things I used to react to and energy wasted getting stressed. Could have just let it slide and chosen to be happy, as they weren’t worth it.
