I would say in me personal experience its more true then not, as far as body types go. You can look a women's mother and get a good indicator of how they will age. If they will maintain or let it go. But I would say its more true the more closely they are in height and body size. I mean if your mother is 5'2 and you're 5'9 its less of an indicator.

My ex-wife is 5'9 and her mother is 5'6, when I meet my wife wife she was slim and athletics and her mother was mid aged and slightly over weight. You could see how her mother was sexy as hell when she was younger but had let it go a little in later years. Her mother was also bat shit crazy. Like her mother was on a different level of bat shit crazy. Even my ex-wife admitted her mother was never right mentally.

Well by 40 my ex-wife started displaying all the same signs and by 42 she was completely bat shit crazy as well. Physically the same, she was over weight and like her mother she actually carried it well. Was still sexy even with the the extra weight, but far from trim and athletics. Mentally she held up until around 38, but the professional all say that most mental issues do not full develop in people until their late 30s to mid 40s. So yup, my ex-wife turned out to be just like her mother. And looking back now with hind sight the signs were there from the beginning and her mother was a Red Flag to me at 22, but I lacked perspective.

Yes very true. But later in life. Generally after 35-40. This does not mean she becomes some kind of a time-shifted doppelganger. Its actually in the whole bodily personality.

In our tradition, there's a saying that if you care a lot about long term appearance, then have a look at the mom when you search for a wife.

No everyone Looks Different nobody looks like anybody else.
But Men can get more feminine Looks or more manly Looks.
Females can get more masculine Looks where they look like more of man and I can be hard to Tell if you just look at them From a short distance. Or females can get more Feminine looks. I find Black females or more foreign Females can Look more Manly than feminine.
And it Gets Trippy when Your Looking at another Girl and You Are not sure if it is a Girl or a man that your looking at from a short distance away. And some of these aren't even females. But some of them are.

I don't look like my mom. I am really a mixture of my parents. I have my moms dimples my dads nose and lips and my dads shape of his face. I have hair similar to my dad aswell. I have my moms cheeks and my dads high cheekbones. I have my moms eye colour and dads eye shape. My Eyebrows are a mixture of both parents

Yes that’s why men are told I’d you want to see what she will look like when she gets older look at her mom. There may be a few exceptions. Doesn’t mean boys can’t take on physical traits of their mother like I do as well as my brothers.

None of my mom's sisters look overly similar except the oldest and youngest. They sound very similar on the phone, but look physically different. So I don't think they're going to resemble my grandmother when older, and I don't see a lot of my mom in my sister

No it's not.. Sons can look like their mom, daughters can look like their dad..

Of my two daughters, my older has her dad's shape, my younger has mine. Facial features, I think they both look more like their dad than me..

Depends on what you mean by look like. Family resemblances can tip either way, but if you mean shape and physique then chances are you're going to look like your mom in that regard

Depends on the genes of parents , Like my elder sister looks more likes my father and my younger looks like more of a mixture of my father and mother.  So i would say it depends
