I don't think so. I was asked to go to prom by a guy, who in my opinion was a jerk; thus, I turned him down. At that time, I would've rather gone to prom alone than with someone I didn't care for. Thus, I went to prom with my friends. Although they had their own dates, I had a blast. I just mingled and danced with any and everybody :)
My sister went with her friends and had an amazing time. I went to prom with a date while it wasn't misurable it wasn't all that great. It's better when your alone and can just chill with your friends and do whatever you want to do. I compare my prom to my sisters...it sucked ass. They really are just being cruel. Ignore them.
Not at all,I haven't been to prom yet but I heard that my older friends in upper grades go with their friends and have a really good time! don't listen to those girls,if you plan going to the prom,just show your fun side and be happy,people will see that and would want to be around you.

Prom is overrated. Don't worry about it. I went to three proms and in one of those proms I went alone. I think I had more fun alone than with dates. It was because I was spending time with good friends!
Honestly Prom Is More Fun When You Don't Go With A Date Cause Like That You Can Dance With Whoever Or Whenever You Want .. Most Of My Friends Complained About The Guys They Took .
They're being bitches. It's not sad, you can go out and have fun on your prom with your friends without a date, too.

I went with a date..and I hated it..you do not HAVE to have a date..it is more of a "suggestion"..
Well the dancing part won't be as fun because you won't have a date, you can still have a blast with your friends.
