Why does she talk to me about her family?

I’ve noticed a female friend of mine has been talking to me a lot about her family recently. I don’t really think the following matters, but I thought it might help: She talks about her relationship with her parents and other family members. She has ”introduced,” in a way, her family to me by showing me pictures of them and telling me them all about them. The reason I’m asking is because: 1. She has never done this with her closest friends and 2. I’m just curious.
