Absolutely not. You don't owe anyone an explanation, but it's common decency to give one to someone you were dating. It's in his best interest to value himself enough to stay away from women that value him so little that they ghost him. Most often people ghost because they lack the communication skills to verbalize their emotions in a productive way. Work on that and leave that man alone.

One thing I learned the hard way in my relationships was to never break up with a woman unless I really meant it because she's not gonna be the same towards me after that. She might want to get back together just to hurt me back.
With guys it's a little different, he may be wanting you back, it's hard to say.
When I was your age I was in an on and off relationship for years, we probably broke up 6 times and got back together so I'm sure you could probably work your way back in there.
