Why is she acting shy with me?

She is treating me differently in comparison to other guys. As in been very quiet with me and sometimes acting I'm not there. Next thing she will come and stand near me but say nothing. So I wouldn't say she is avoiding me. But I see her laughing and joking with other guys but quiet with me. I like her and I've only been nice to her so I know I haven't done or said anything to upset her

Be confident and ask her out. Some people are shy before you actually break the ice.

However, move on if she keeps doing this. She might be shy, also might not be comfortable with you. Either way, there is no chance for a relationship if you guys can’t even communicate effectively.

I have said hello and in fact we've spoken heaps but she still shy of me

You have to move on. she's not willing to break out that shy shell of hers. It's okay. Once you leave her be she will grab the courage

Yeah I've done that and she sometimes comes over and either stands near me or starts a very small conversation. The other day she accidentally sent a thumbs up emoji to me on facebook. The conversation was a week old and she was last to reply so i didn't reply. Then a week later I get a thumbs up from her at 6:45am

she's way too scared. How about include her in on conversations, or activities outside of school or work. Ask her on a date where you two can talk

I can tell you that I do like her. It's just hard with her been scared as it makes her look like she doesn't like me. You do understand where I'm coming from don't you?
