Am I being unreasonable with my roommate?

She’s was making egg’s sandwich at 4:30 am and she woke me up I went outside my room and said to her I need to sleep she then made even more noise slam pots slam doors

Maybe a little... but roommates are tough honestly. I mean, people that get up at 4:30 AM to eat are doing it for a reason, and it is probably because they would rather be asleep themselves. So, bitching about it doesn't make it any better. Maybe a more compassionate approach would be better.

On the flip side she should be trying to be more considerate. YES, but maybe you are not such a great roommate as well. So, my issue with things like this, is that when you have a roommate you have to expect certain level of inconveniences. So, I avoid complaining because, they probably have like 6 to 10 things that I do that piss them off, but they are not bitching about it either.

So, when you come out of your room at 430 AM bitching, I am going to be offended... because you do shit all the time and I keep my mouth shut. You should have waited until the next day and asked if she has problems sleeping, because you heard her up early. Then listen to her and sympathize with her... she may have apologized for waking you, then maybe next time she might have tried on her own to be quieter. But chances are she is not going to give a shit about you after you come out bitching, because is not going to want to be quieter just because you told her to. I mean she up that early for a reason, something is affecting her or going on and she is probably just as unhappy about it as you are. But you do not give a shit about that? Not really, you just want her to be quieter for you.

I mean she is paying rent just like you, so she has a right to eat and 430 AM if she wants to.

This is ridiculous.

When you live with other people you have to have some rules. You need to make compromises. This is really to much and obviously very inconsiderate.

I think the best thing would be to have a serious talk with her and make clear that there should be some rules that have to be agreed on, and strictly followed.

One of them being, no cooking before an agreed upon time, and no noise!

Unfortunately that's the downside of having a roommate cause you have different schedules. I would ask her to be a little bit more considerate of making loud sounds at that time or make her meals ahead time. She has to understand that she isn't the only one living there.

She’s being unreasonable and I wouldn’t trust living with someone who acts this way.  It’s why I could never live with a roommate
