Girls, Am I weird for asking a girl if she wants to be carried?

Hi, young guy speaking here. I'm 15, weight 70kg and measure at 180cm, and I'm here to ask: am I making a girl uncomfortable by asking her if she wants to be carried?

This happened twice, the first time with my now ex girlfriend. We were walking ever so happily around Venice when she started complaining that i didn't tell her we' d go on a walk making her pick new shoes that were still to be broken in, i then did what i thought was the most normal thing, I asked her if she wanted me to carry her. She (70kg) looked at me (65kg at the time) like I just asked her to strip butt naked, like I just asked her to do the most indecent thing in the universe, so k looked at her confused and laughing asked again: she laughed it off and said no. Knowing her being all insecure and shit I asked again making sure that she'd know that I was absolutely fine having her say yes, but I still got looked at weird and proably labeled as some sort of pervert.

The second time was when at rowing practice I saw a teammate that was barefoot and had to go in dirt to fix something (I don't remember what) and i offered to carry her, she then said almost offended "of course not!" and then told me i was weird for even asking. She is 60kg and i am 70kg...

To be honest I really like carrying people, even if my aura of hatred and no approachability makes it hard to even have friends in the first place, but I find it really weird that for me to do an act lf simple kindness and romance I had to be looked weird at, especially because I am a quite strong guy being both genetically gifted and having trained rowing for 7 years along with other sports my entire childhood: I can squat well over 100kg and usually train with 85kg for sets of 20/30 quick repetitions (to build faster strength).

You tell me ladies, cause i can't figure it out
