It seems pretty clear to me why your male's friend's girlfriend stares and gives you dirty looks. You have a piece of her man. You are getting the "friend/emotional connection" that she deserves. She's not dumb... you two are friends because something about each of you attracted you to one another. She knows that 3-4 drinks away from a "fun session".

Because she is insecure and probably jealous to some level of your friendship w/ her boyfriend. I’ve had it happen to me a few times even when me and they guy are and always have been 100% platonic friends.
