Men are expected to, and should, be independent. Seeking external validation signals dependence, a sign of weakness. Women HATE straight men who don't act masculine or signal strength at all times. They'll call any man they don't like creepy, but the sentiment's still the same: she's repulsed by that behavior. It isn't talked about a lot but women are blatantly sexist with their narrow minded and toxic expectation of men.

I don't know where you got that second statistic. I'm either indifferent to or annoyed by attention starved women. However, I'd be lying if I didn't think that meant I had a chance with them. Women get far more attention from men then vice versa. In fact, despite any bay sayers, women like attention more than just about anything.

I could make an evolutionary argument about how our cave mamas assumed male attention led them to the chance of securing protection from a strong man/community, but I'll keep it simple and just say women are attention whores. Naturally, they're more selective with who they give attention to and what type of attention. Since most dudes already get minimal attention from women, and since women are selective with their attention, it's easy to assume that she might want you to dip your mozzarella stick in her marinara sauce. It doesn't help that women are typically vague or straight up lie when confronted. There's always some sort shallow layer in their communication.

Girls want to be desired! We want to be wanted. Im 39 i landed a good husband and we ahave great marriage but women have a very short amount of time to attract a good man for a husband. so they need to catch his attention and show that she is sooo good and so valuable that she would be a great wife and mommy to the babies. Some women pout it on a bit to strong. But we want to be wanted and be desired. Does that make sense?

They're not attention starved, they're attention  greedy . They are very well aware that they can live life without being worshipped, but are narcissisticly focused on having others validate them while they want to ignore everyone else. There's no real value or character in any girl like this.

A lot of people are attention starved these days. I don't know y exactly mabe it's social media, mabe people jus have higher standards now.

When a creepy guy is attention starved, he is still creepy. When a normal guy is attention starved, he's just desperate. Same with girls. Yeah it's less attractive either way but, there's a difference. U know when a girl is desperate vs creepy. Or u never met a creepy girl?
