There’s this girl from work, and I know she likes me now after she’s ignoring me since I told other coworkers that I met a girl. I feel really bad, but it hurts my feelings that she doesn’t want to talk anymore or purposely ignoring me. She even told me that she said she doesn’t find me attractive while smiling in the past, so why is she upset for?
Some people, don't deal with rejection very well. How do you not understand why she is upset? You knew she liked you, and you are dating someone else now. It's pretty obvious.
She has probably tried to flirt with you in some way, yet you found some other girl. It's an indirect form of rejection. She liked you, but you pursued some other woman, that you thought was "better" than her.
She didn't want to be your friend. She wanted to be your Girlfriend. Now you have one, and she doesn't want to hang around and here you talk about how much you like her, ask her for advice about her, etc. That would be painful and uncomfortable for her.
The saying she doesn't find you attractive while smiling is a bit rude, but I doubt it was without context. Also, why do you give a fuck? If you don't like her, then who cares what she thinks about your attractiveness?
I would just ask her to stop with the rude comments, and that you would like to remain friends. If she can't do that, well then find a new friend I guess.
Because it's a waste of effort? They want something romantic with you and they aren't about to steal another woman's man.
