Guys why do you stop talking to girls after awhile?

Why do guys stop talking to girls altogether or why do they stop showing interest?
I talked to my crush and we were flirting with eachother and like after that day he just like I guess he doesn't look at me as much anymore and he doesn't I guess try and approach me anymore and he doesn't try to be around me as much as he did before we talked that day... Why do guys do that? What do you think this means why did he do this?
