Yes, they exist. But pick me girls aren't girls who enjoy male attention. That's just human nature. No- pick-me girls are the ones who put down other women or do morally bad things to other people to get male attention. They are also often internalised misogynists, and talk down their own gender to impress men.

The pick-me girl isn't the girl who gets dressed up or wears less-to-nothing to get attention from men. That is a misconception. She is the girl, who, at a gathering, is dressed however and putting down the other girls in the room to make herself look better in front of her crush. She is also the girl who doesn't actually care about her female friendships. She uses women as placeholders until she gets what she really wants (a man.)

Cassie from Euphoria is classic a pick-me. She will do absolutely anything, including betraying her own best friend, to get male attention from a guy who barely likes her.

I don't care what they do unless they are directly hurting other people in their attempt to be "picked." Yeah, they absolutely exist, unfortunately. My ex-friend is a pick-me (I hate the term but it fits.) She used to make fun of me and make up false rumours about me in front of her boyfriend to make sure he wouldn't find me attractive. A guy once even noticed and commented on the fact that she was insulting me in front of him, it was  that  obvious. She was not a good friend to other girls, and all she cared about was male attention. Which unfortunately meant she would get envious really easily if you got more attention than her. When she got into a relationship, she stopped talking to her friends completely. She also loved flirting with married men and competing with the wives.

Almost every girl thinks she's special. They always insist they are different than other girls. They all seek attention and validation. They all tend to compete with each other for a good man's focus. You're all pick me girls. You just have to have the right guy walk up to a group of you and the switch flips on your behavior every single time... Some of you are more aggressive about it than others.
