What do you think of pageant girls?

hey guys&girls,

*I'm NOT a pageant girl, so I'm NOT looking for confirmation or validation that they're the bombdiggitydotcom

I wish I was a pageant girl or had been...but I'm from Texas so I think in order to be in pageants in the south you're supposed to be white(i'm not) and blond, because everyone loves blond hair blue eyed gals.

But I think they're cool and awesome

I think that they're really pretty with a sweet quality to their appearances that models don't have.

However, I also thing that they're most likely to be self centered and vain.

As far as the race thing goes, it's pretty apparent that certain races are going to win in certain places even when those places are multiracial. In the south it's always a white girl. In California it's always a Mexican or an Asian girl. Miss Universe is always black or dark skinned Latina. There are probably exceptions but this is what I've seen. I've just noticed that different locations are racist in different ways.

All girls want to feel pretty.

I understand.

I bet you're gorgeous!

But pageants, I don't agree with them I must say.

If you have one tiny thing wrong with you, you're pretty much out of the pageant.

If society thinks you don't look good, then you're out.

They're awful!

i think they are a bit scary they all have the same fake smiles and they all cry those fake tears when they win, its so rehearsed. But when I do watch pageants on TV I just watch it cause of the dresses

I have yet to meet one. In general they are attractive, of course. I do think their personality is largely staged during a given pageant, so it's impossible to really assess their personality based on their performance.

However, that they are attractive and seeking recognition for their attractiveness speaks of some fundamental interest in having their bodies be fully appreciated, which sounds like fun! But then, it's more likely they are just in it for the attention and/or fame. And that's boring.

overrated. I dislike the amount of make up used, and usually their personality is twitty and plastic. I just can't get excited over pageant girls most of the time. I'm also not as attracted to white women as I am to other races usually.

I have never met a girl who has done one and could care less about them. Plenty of good looking girls who have never done one. There are all pretty, which is obvious. I do wonder if they choose to do it originally, since it seems like parents can force a lot of them to start a young age. The stereotype is they are dumb and know they can get by on looks, which I'm sure some of them are like but not all. I do see you point on being white never really seen a non-white pagent girl, but like I said I have not really seen a lot of that garbage.

I think the idea of a pageant is sort of vain and egotistical. Winning one too me is like winning a hot dog eatting contest... Not much of an accomplishment.

I think the women involved in pageants have the wrong priorities in life.

They are very beautiful, really like that North Carolina girl. I really have never watched that stuff maybe seen 10 mintues of it. I know there is a modeling part in a dress and bikini and there is a talent they have to do and I think they have to answer some questions on world events. I know people (my mother is one) think they are all dumb bimbos getting by on their looks. I'm sure they are like any other group of people though their are dumb ones and smart ones.

I've never gotten attracted to any pageant girls, because to me, with all the heavy makeup, it kinda hides that simple look I love to see on women, well at least that's my opinion.
