Women often don't realize that men and women don't think the same about most things, and in particular interactions between men and women. Men are mostly conditioned to pursue women, and women are mostly conditioned to wait to be pursued. That's why most women don't typically ask men out on dates, why women don't propose to men, and why women are typically less direct about how they feel when they aren't interested etc.. It's easier to simply avoid a man, and hope that he gets the hint that you don't want anything to do with him, but what most women don't realize is that their lack of direct communication is at least half of the time responsible for why a man continues to pursue you, when you're not interested. If you're not interested, use your words, and if he does have self respect, he'll remove his attention, and you both win.

Gotcha. Well if you two have history, she simply wants to reconcile your differences. So you avoiding her rather than being up front with her still won't give you the desired result. The only solution is to tell her to leave you alone.
