Because we're constantly made to feel like we're just objects so when someone comes out and makes us feel human or feel like we actually matter it means a lot to us. I think guys feel the same way. When a girl makes you feel happy and safe and supports you, that makes you feel special. It makes you feel good.

Gender roles. Women are conditioned from a young age that half thier worth is tied up in thier beauty. And some young women unfortunately feel all of it is. So most women equate thier value to the amount of guys that give them attention. And some go to great links to ensure that attention. Even if unfortunately it's the bad kind of attention.
