Why is what women say they're attracted to never align with their actions?

I believe some people are not aware of their potential, only their current experience. Like I thought looks was the most important thing as a teenager and than I met the nicest guy I ever met in my entire life and looks no longer mattered to me.

Well, there’s more to be considered for a serious relationship than lust. Lust is the worst thing to base it on. If I felt lust for a man, I’d wait. Be extra sure he liked me.

Most men do. The only reason why women dont think is because women are complicated so thus men have to be complicated too

No, it's not that simple.
Men don't say what they really want, because if they did, they think they will have less of a chance of getting what they want. Also, they don't want to be judged. They also don't like to be controlled.

If you ask men, "Are you simple?" you will get a variety of answers. Some say yes. Others think this is an oversimplification.

Not that many people can be called straight-shooters. If they could be, were, this phrase wouldn't even exist.
There is a lot of jostling and jockeying because people have different motivations, and they often don't want to reveal their deepest, truest motivations.

Women are choosy, yes. Choosier than men are. But there does exist some men who are both attractive physically and in temperament, character, etc.

I'm probably wasting my breath here, though, because you are an absolutist (anyone who uses absolutes like "always" and "never" already has a dogmatic view of people. Difficult to reason with such a person.)

If men told women "hey i dont want anything serious but just casusl sex with you" how would that turn out? Most women are not going to be okay with that so they have to lie. And i base life on generalities not exceptions

That is absolutely why they do it/say it. And lead women on, into believing that they might be open to a serious relationship.
I base life on majorities, too. I'm not that interested in edge cases. But "never" is almost always inaccurate. And I still don't know what exactly your point is here, but I don't agree that most women choose 'bad boys' or whatever. Most want a good looking guy who can think for himself, but chooses her, and has a heart of gold underneath a cool-ish exterior.
