Since high school, we've been friends and despite living in different locations due to work, we still see each every year on long holiday.

Recently, she's asked me to accompany her to the salon twice - the first time, I dropped her off and found something to eat while waiting, but the second time she specifically asked me to come along and not leave.

Though she keeps replying to my Instagram stories, I try to keep our conversations short because I don't want to develop feelings for her. I can't help but wonder why a girl would bring a guy along to wait for her while she gets her hair done. Just how deep am I in the friendzone? LOL

Sorry guy but here is the whole truth. t You are not in the friendzone. You are the star pupil in her friendzone class. In fact, you have taken the first chair where the missing gay friend actually sits. Maybe, she's trying to turn you gay. Pedi and Mani request then you know for sure she is transforming you. Obviously, she thinks you are too passive or gay.

Hmmm initially I was going to say SUPER deep. However, given the additional information about her wanting you to stay I think it's a fair assumption that maybe she does like you and genuinely just wants you to tag along because she enjoys your company or presence. You should ask her on an official date or at least ask her if she's interested in you in that way. Since you've known each other for a while I don't think it would be weird to ask or have that conversation. She seems to be trying to initiate some sort of relationship with you if she's actively interacting with your social media as well as wanting to hang out for extended periods of time. Give it a shot dude.
