Why do women want equality but still don't want men to hit back women?

I often hear over and over from feminist that we should strive for female equality but in the same breath are silent or against men hitting back women that attacked them first. In fact, most women often want to retain a firm stance of men should never hit back a woman under any circumstances.

When we look at domestic violence even, lesbians are the highest % race across all couples. So the belief that men are all violent monsters attacking women is false.

Wait, who said women want equality? That's never been true.

Women want equal rights when it benefits them, but not the concomitant responsibilities.

They want more rights when they can get away with it (e. g., reproductive rights).

And they certainly don't want equality when it comes to gender roles.

Nobody who's being honest says women actually want equality. That's just silly.

Probably because it's never been about equality, in my opinion. If it was we would have been draftable when we got the right to vote.

it's not about "true" equality because there's no such thing as "true" equality, not even amongst men. it's all about selective equality.

We'd actually have to be equal for there to be equality.
They can hit us be cause it's kind of cute and it's whatever, but we could easily kill them if we hit them too hard.
