The way you used "equality" is misleading. I think it's more about equal opportunity and equal treatment under the law. It seems like some guys are threatened by that. They're afraid that they can't compete on a level playing field and need to keep women "in their place". Their egos would be hurt if a woman was better than them at anything.

I've known female supervisors, managers, executives, doctors, lawyers, business owners.
Do you think women need men's guidance or something? Do they need to be controlled by men?

In reality, a lot of men are idiots. It's not like men are, on average, smarter than women. They're just bigger and stronger and more capable of doing manual labor.

they'd be fighting to allow men to abandon fatherhood by refusing to pay child support just like women who abort their unborn babies choose to abandon motherhood
