Have you had a friend who’s lost the plot?

Question

My friend has been through a lot the past couple of years in her personal life.

More recently, she’s lost the plot. No judgement no tea, but she never used to be like this.

She’s been increasingly dressing provocatively, clubbing every week and letting random men grind on her and posting provocative videos of herself on social media.

And then looking down on me because I’m quite conservative in my love life but that’s just the way I feel comfortable and happy to be.

I’m worried about her but she’s a fully grown woman so to each their own.

I just feel like it’s affecting our friendship in the sense that we don’t connect like we have in the past, and she tries to pressure me into things when we’re hanging out.

Ever had a friend change like that?

Oh hell yeah ! PLENTY..

Funnily enough the one who comes to mind initially ( years ago - female ) slept with so very many guys during this period , and became the exact opposite as a mother and wife , I'd say its a phase she has to get though.

I did enjoy some grinding in clubs , always with people I didn't know ( Its easier if you don't know em ) and I will say it was a fun time , go easy on her , she's living out her natural sexuality.

Yeah. One of my old friends started using drugs. I hadn't seen the dude in years. I let him out of my sight and he goes and starts taking drugs. Like wtf? So he makes one bad decision after another. And he completely screwed up his life. COMPLETELY.

I'm sorry I wasn't in his life at the time. Because if I knew, I would have tried to stop him from going down that road.

Yes, I’ve had a friend who lost the plot. He got caught up in a scandal that involved infidelity but ultimately he and his wife continued on in their marriage. Then he judged me when I got a divorce due to years of emotional abuse. Sometimes you can’t save a friendship.

I've never heard this expression "lost the plot", but I get more or less what you're saying. I have quite a few friends who went down a bad path like that, and some of them unfortunately didn't come back for it.
