How come on dating sites, I match with a large amount of girls, but the vast majority just dont even reply back when I message them?

Okay, so I am not into dating apps. Never have been. I have had friends that used them and had bad experiences in general. So, I cannot speak to how effective they are. I do, however, understand how they work. Likely the problem is either those accounts are abandoned or they are fake.

A lot of times, a girl will meet someone, hit it off and then just not log back on because they found someone. Those accounts go dormant even though the show as active. The app owners have no incentive to remove inactive profiles. The more girls they have, the more revenue they will get.

The second reason I suspect is that they are fake accounts. Again, this is all about attraction (mostly of guys) to the site. They want to have a high number of girl profiles so that you believe you have high odds.

Would you join, pay or use a site where there were limited options of girls or would you use the site that looks like they have loads of active girls?

A lot of girls will have 20 or 30 matches, and just talk to the one they like the most. If that one falls through, they'll go to the next one

and i know this from a close fenale aquantinse adnitting to doing exactly this. her and some gitl friends will download tinder (specifically this1 for her) and see how many matches they can get (in a certain time period like that night or the weekend) then delete the accounts and app.
