Assuming they are of equal skill, and the difference is mainly gender, obviously 9 to 1 the 9 will win. If they took random people with random levels of training, well it could be a toss up, but still more likely the 9 will win. If they took 1 trained against 9 randoms well then I'd bet on the 1, because while definitely still possible it's not nearly as likely that even 9 untrained people could take 1 trained person down.

Take even something like basketball as an example. 9 untrained strangers are not likely to beat 1 trained person. But when everyone is untrained, or everyone is trained, it's basically guaranteed the 9 will win against 1. This isn't basketball, but it is a sport that training makes you a lot better at and would require practiced coordination to do well in groups.
