Why did she tell me she's on her period and how should I have responded?

If she is a friend and tells you that, it most likely means that she’s about to get snappy with you and that’s her excuse to be rude. If you are in a relationship then she most likely wants your affection/ wants you to take care of her. You could respond by asking if she needs anything such as snacks or pads/tampons. Although there’s always the chance that she told you that to let you know that she’s not pregnant. Or she could just be telling you information like that because that’s her personality? she's a friend I've known for 4 years but only recently recontacted, she told me never to disappear from her life again, and when she told me she had school orientation today, she said she wasn't looking forward to it because she was on her period. When i checked in on her after orientation, she said she didn't want to talk about it but will update me when she's ready.
