Girls, My ex-girlfriend just removed me from Instagram. Almost 2 years after the break up. 30M 37F?

Hi, I just found out something and it shocked me.

So, back in June 2021 I met a girl on Tinder. We dated, became boyfriend a girlfriend, and everything was great, or so it seemed. She cheated on me and broke up with me.

I moved on, met other girls, got a new job, etc. But, we still had each other on Instagram. I stopped liking her posts and viewing her stories a month or so after the break up.

But, I was watching my Tinder profile a few hours ago and I saw something that shocked me. Her profile isn't there anymore. And I don't know why I decided to check Instagram, but it now says "Follow Back". I can't see her posts or anything because her profile is private, but, she can still see mine.

I'm seeing someone new right now, but, seeing this shocked me and I don't know why. I mean, it's been almost 2 years and she does this? It's not like it matters, but, I'd like to know why. I'm curious.

My first thought is, she might be back at the app again and saw my new photos and stuff and maybe she didn't wanted me to know that. It's not like I was gonna write her something to go out again. And then Instagram, it makes me curious. Why? I'm 30 and she's gonna be 37 next month. Just so u know. I know where she lives and works. Still, never wrote her anything or bothered her in anyway. Is she trying to get my attention or just "cleaning" her profile? She meant a lot to me and I think she still does.

Okay this story is kinda confusing. So my Instagram is private. Has been for a while now. My ex boyfriend (dated for 2 and a half years) is still following me. He has a new girlfriend as it has been a little over 3 years now. I’ve been off and on the dating scene, but that’s besides the point. To me it seems like you unfollowed her. However if that isn’t the case, then it could be that she had you blocked at one point and then decided she didn’t want that anymore so unblocked you. Because if she was public and you were following her and then she went private you would still be able to see all her posts. So my ex boyfriend and I still have pictures of each other on our profiles. I will not remove them or make them private as that was in the past. I like this one guy and I’m hoping he doesn’t have a girlfriend. But we will see. For your situation though, you like this new girl, why are you concerned about your ex and what she is doing? She still follows you so make the best memories with your new girl and don’t even think about that old one! Yes you will still think about it from time to time, but don’t let them see that. so she still follows you but just removed you from her following? That’s odd. If that’s the case id assume it’s a secretive way of seeing if you still keep tabs on her if you were to give her a reaction (requesting to follow again, or message). Or it could be something as simple as not wanting you to view her page

She’s probably just cleaning or someone she’s with/ talking to didn’t want anyone on her followers she had a past with.

Either she’s in a happy relationship or she’s healing and decided she wants to cut contact with her exes and get off dating apps.
