Why did my ex-crush unfollow and remove me on instagram?

He unfollowed most of the girls in our university when he started to post about his girlfriend. This guy is a known flirt. But he only removed me from following him. Most of the girls had to unfollow him manually when they found out that they have been unfollowed by him. After unfollowing majority of the girls in our university and removing me, he changed his username so I did not get to know that I have been removed. I found this later on when my friend, who was also unfollowed but not removed, unfollowed him back and told me about it. Can you tell me why would he do that? Also, when we were in offline classes, he used to stare at me. A lot. Even my friends began to notice it. So I started to catch him whenever he started to stare at me which caused him to stop eventually. Has this got anything to do with what happened?

Honestly girl, let it go. The fact that you’re even checking for him in the first place shows that you still have a crush, even though you probably don’t want to feel that way or something. His motive behind it was his girlfriend, since he deleted many other girls too. You didn’t do anything. So move on, if you see him and you catch each others eye then just say hey, be cordial. But that’s it.

First of all, if he has a girlfriend why th does it matter? Second, it's social media, which is not real life, why does it matter if he removes you, follows you, likes your pictures, likes your stories, any of it? Hint: it doesn't.

Well he's kinda good looking ngl. But he's narcissistic and too much self absorbed. He never likes anyone's posts unless he's in it. Also, 1 month in university and he started to look for other girls even though he already had a girlfriend (her girlfriend and I went to the same school so I already knew it and it disgusted me beyond anything)
