Ladies, why are there some "friends" who copy your interests (in men)?

I have had many friends who weren't interested in a ceratin type of guy, but will IMMEDIATELY "change" their interests when they discover my type... Why is this done? Is this a frenemy revealing themselves to me? For example, they go from saying "I hate beards" to "omg did you see his beard. so sexy".

I've found the easiest women to get are friends/acquaintances around a woman I'm sleeping with. If you're single it's really tough to get momentum, the minute you're with a woman though, more women want you.
