I work in a male dominated area and the toilet at the workplace is unisex. Is it normal to be scared and avoid using the toilet since guys use them?

Everyday instead of using the office toilet, I go outside and use the woman’s public toilet instead.

Women like you are the type of female coworker I actively attempt to avoid, because that type of woman is the kind to falsely accuse me of sexual harassment if I do something you don't like, or reject your advances on me while on the clock.

About 50% of my career field is female, and unfortunately, we have a concerning amount of women who are just like you. I got terminated from my last job because my supervisor, a woman who clearly doesn't like men, lied about me on spme of her reports.

Don't worry, your male coworkers won't have any interest in interacting with you. Especially if they're conscious of the post-Me Too workplace environment, where women can cost them their jobs if she really wanted to (the majority of men are aware of this environment).

This is a bit odd. Can you not use some disinfectant to reassure you?

At work we even have "inclusive" bathrooms now in addition to those differentiated by gender. I like using them, because literally nobody else does. They are spacious and clean and I do not need a specific toilet to affirm my male identity.

As a girl that also works in a male dominated field I can’t say I have that issue. But on the draglines we don’t have a toilet seat or a private door. Take the last place I worked at same thing but that had a toilet on the dragline. That door didn’t lock. Yeah I was afraid someone would walk in but I still didn’t let that stop me for using it. I quickly did my business and left. I would be more scared to use the makeshift toilet we have on my new companies dragline. It’s literally just a “bag” and a 5 gallon bucket and anyone could walk in. If it was me in your situation I’d be fine as the stalls are basically private and can lock. Come talk to me when you have to deal with shit like me.

So you are scared to use a unisex toilet indoors but yet you aren't scared at all to use a public toilet outside where you probably have more of a chance of being murdered or robbed or assaulted. Please someone make this make sense to me.

What is with women being so afraid of men? Yes there are some bad men out there but it's like so many women are acting like every men on the planet is going to murder them.

Presumably there are stalls with a common lavatory? You are no less safe there than you would be going into a women's restroom alone. There's no magic force field around weekends restrooms that preventsa man from following you in.

if you can lock the doors then do that… I understand why you’d be concerned but you shouldn’t be afraid constantly. be aware instead, know your surroundings, not only at work or at the bathroom at work, but everywhere.

As long as you can lock the door, personally I see no issue with unisex restrooms. Gender-specific public restrooms (both women and men's) are usually nastier.
