Is standing close to explain something normal employee behavior for a stranger girl employee? Wouldn’t that give off the wrong impression?

Ok so my mom & I were shopping at DSW May 6 in the Sherman Oaks Galleria mall for shoes for her when there was this label on the box of shoes that said 8.5 when it was in the 10.5 pile. Anyway my mom wanted me to ask for help so I ran over to this girl 2 isles above me who works at DSW. I walked back to my mom but the girl walked up behind me super close in my personal space to me as I was holding the box to explain & pointed that the 8.5 is the U. K size & 10.5 is US size

To show my appreciation I said Thank you to her but I guess she couldn’t hear me even though she was close to me but she didn’t say your welcome. Oddly Instead of saying you’re welcome, she for some reason stood there & turned her head up to my face and immediately smiled a big grin that showed her upper teeth and gums for seconds (I guess she was unexpectedly nervous due to the closeness, which is why she smiled at me and I was slightly taller than her)

I saw this same girl May 20 at DSW so I asked her where the mens cheap shoes were. I don’t know why but while looking me straight in my eyes for 2 seconds, she glanced down to the side quickly and immediately back straight to me then after another 2 seconds of looking straight at me, she glanced down to the side quickly again then back to me while she was talking to me. Also, her eyes were oddly big when I saw her like deer sized and seemed a little shiny. The odd thing was that it seemed she was intentionally glancing down & back to me on purpose it didn’t feel like her eyes were relaxed in a normal way

She seems like a shy girl, or maybe a new DSW employee & I don’t know what any of this body language means as I’m a dumb guy preferring the direct approach. I hope I didn’t make her uncomfortable either when we first met as she chose to stand near me but if I did she would’ve said something right? I’ll ask her out If see her at DSW this Saturday since I feel she may like me. Doesn’t hurt to ask since waiting is worse right?
