There’s nobody else at home and I’m the only one that can take care of him. I asked my boss if I could work from home Thursday, Friday and Monday of this week but he didn’t let me. The work that I do can be done from home.
Then perhaps take personal time, like a vacation or sick days. That's what "PTO" (personal time off) is for.
If that's not an option, then not only get a new job but a new career - one in which PTO is availble or you work hourly but make a shitload. That's what I do. I am a contractor and I have a nice hourly wage. I work, I get paid; I don't work, I don't get paid. No PTO or vacation or any benefits. Just cash! So, if I want to take off, I do it guilt-free because they won't pay me. (I am sensitive to project deadlines though.)

Lol trust a younger women to think that a dog is so important. You boss is right, it is not a human. Besides if you leave your jobs how are you going to pay for your dog, im assuming you will get a hefty vets bill. Dogs don't pay bills, jobs do.
Is a ER for dogs an actual thing.
