Just as the question. Is it a big turn on for guys to have abs to girls. Trying to see how helpful it would be having them in the dating game lol
+1 yYes, they are. An (at least) in control, and even scuplted, abdominal area says a lot about the person more than arms or legs. It tells me this person has a degree of self-control, vision, has the ability to goal set and possesses perseverance.
These are highly attractive character traits. A flabby gut says the oposite to me and is an instant turn off.
I am not a hypocrite and do planks and crunches as well as try to reign in my eating if I start to stress eat.
A caveat: don't make your entire personality about your abs because then you would just be shallow and boring.

+1 yBro, as a guy that cycles between having abs and having the Dad belly depending on my current drinking habits... I've never had chicks rubbing my beer belly and saying "OMG" like they do when I have abs.
But remember abs on a scrawny guy are kinda like tits on a fat chick. There is a reason you're going to get a wishy-washy answer about it from women in general. You can easily outshine the abs or lack thereof, by having other developed muscles. With that said, they like them, but they will lie... just like they say they want nice guys, but then they'll ditch a nice guy for a night with a dick like me that will probably kick her out after I'm done with her and just want to play video games.

Asker+1 yOh I ain’t scrawny so that’s not an issue. It definitely sounds like it’s worth it and I’mgonna get them. I train them heavy because I am not gonna have small skinny abs.
Asker+1 yI’m jacked overall just need to get the abs popping

I'm actually working on my abs right now. I quit drinking, doing no carbs, and the same thing... I'm going heavy af on the abs. None of that 100 reps of this and 100 reps of that crap for me. I should've posted a pic of myself when I still could... basically a fitness model physique.
The bottom line, abs are worth having... trust me I know. I wouldn't keep getting them back if I didn't like the attention they get when I have them.
Asker+1 yHaha thanks. I do lots of weighted twits for obliques and ab roller. . Gonna start doing weighted cable crunches.
Asker+1 yGot a good ways to go lol

My boyfriend works out and gets jacked for me and he’s got muscles everywhere but he’s still got a bit of belly down there and that’s all I can focus on lmao he gets mad 😤
Asker+1 y@MissBoogus haha it’s just how it goes. I am getting jacked for the dating world. Pretty big for my hight but still need to her lean. And that’s bulking for you
They're very attractive because they're a signifier of health & fitness. But I still think healthier for men on average to be in a bodyfat range where their abs don't show as well, yet they is still strong. Because when the average guy is lean, it actually doesn't allow him to be as physically fit as he would be with a bit more fat on him. I think the ideal range is between 12-17 percent.

+1 yPersonally for me? Very attractive! Getting abs is NOT easy: it requires a good diet, exercise, and taking care of your body- in other words, you have to be dedicated, determined, and driven.
Any guy that works that hard on his body and is a gymrat, has my respect and I would like him for it. Mind you, I'm also into fitness, so of course I'm going to be attracted to fit guys with good bodies slightly more. Though is it a deal breaker if he doesn't have abs? NO. Both of my exes, and most of my former crushes were all "round" as they liked to call themselves: no abs, dad bods, and didn't exercise at all.

Anyone with a job doing heavy labor should be able to get abs after a while. I got abs that way and so did almost everyone I worked with. Not a one of them went to a gym because there was no need. - +1 y
@WindAtMyBack Correct! I know plenty of guys that their workout is their job!
And yes, they're in shape. But you also have to account for diet as well- you can do arduous work all day, but if you're eating and/or drinking poorly, you won't see the results.

+1 yRemember this, if you are looking to get those abs to get women, you are looking to attract women that want that. Once you get her, you will have to maintain them or risk her finding someone else.
Here is the rationale behind that reply. There is a reason a lot more women look for men with the “Dad Bod”. If the men they choose are ripped, then those women will be forced to work hard at staying fit themselves or risk losing those sought after abs to another woman.20 ReplyI mean yes, who doesn't appreciate a person who's physically fit? (Abs being a sign of that.) But personally I don't really go for the "crazy ripped body builder" thing. Not that I would reject a guy for having "too much" muscle, but it's not really my preference.

+1 yDoes it look good? Sure. I mean it can also depend on how they look, and if it's too much.. well, then it's just too much.
I will definitely look if a guy has abs on the beach for example.
But is it a requirement for me to wanting to date you? Absolutely not?
Is it a gate opener in my eyes to want to sate you? Also no.
Abs doesn't make me want to date someone.
They do make me want to look, but that's about it10 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt's feast or famine with women when it comes to abs. Most don't care whether a guy has them. But it gives the guy "added value" when he has them. Which in her mind by transitive property gives her more value. So generally the more self conscious she is the more she appreciates them on him.

+1 yEven at my age I still have a six pack... have had it all my life. I can tell you that girls really love it. Always have. I had a girlfriend in high school who called me "tumor tummy" ... she LOVED them... couldn't get enough of just running her hands over them. Since then I never met a girl who didn't like them.
Seems weird to me, but somehow it really attracts them.

PS I don't like six packs on women. Yuk! Too masculine.

@RingOfFire My wife was the first girl I ever saw with a six pack. i thought it was stunning.

Maybe on some women. I don't really pay much attention to it. But my personal taste is smooth all over... no fat, no cut muscles. Firm and good shape but not "ripped."
Very, everyone in the comments is lying their asses off, good protruding abs are hard to get because of the low body fat and high muscle content you need for them to show.
Whenever you get a woman home and take off that shirt, she's going to want to attack you like a homeless person on a turkey leg in the dead of winter after no food for 4 days.11 Reply
Asker+1 yYeha I don't know why everyone lies
+1 yThey're really hot I'm curious I've never touched abs but I'm sure they feel great , the most thing that turns me on physically in a man if he had a really great back , and wide should shoulders , I see that in most muscular men and it's hot

+1 yIt can be yes. I, for one, don't really care for Mr. Abs or Mr. Hairy men though. But that's just me. Many other women do like it though.
