Why did this women tell me to get off the phone to my boyfriend?

I was at the gym and video calling my long distance boyfriend and then this woman at the gym started shouting at me and telling me to get off the phone to him and that I wasn’t allowed to speak on the phone whilst at the gym. I looked up my gym terms and conditions and it said there was no rules which stated you couldn’t speak on the phone during a workout
