We let each other go through each others phone were so confident about our trust and each other. We were siting around and I jokingly was like "im gonna look in your phoneee" he said OK. so then I went to the message that I thought was my friend that he's also friends with, but it was a girl with the same name who like "you left a big hickey on my neck" he said " ha" and she was like " lol don't tell nobody" so I looked at him and was like uhh you gave some one a hickey? he got this look on his face and was like "noo I didnt". I was like "it clearly says it right here don't lie be honest". So he told me that he was super wasted at a frat party and was dancing with some chick and it just happened then he got her number afterward. like what should I do, he's never before gave me any reason not to trust him till now.

Answer is very simple. Being drunk and not having total control of his actions? That's a gray area. The part where he lied to you while in TOTAL control of his actions in order to save his skin? NOT a gray area. Break up with him. If he can't be trusted to tell the truth when the chips are down he isn't worth it.

Being super drunk is no excuse, especially since he's texting her afterward. You can't trust him and really, in my opinion breaking up with him would be your best option.
