Is intimidated becoming the most misused word in today’s world?

I have seen this countless times. So often when a woman finds herself on the end of not being attractive to men, she is convinced they are “intimidated.” How did this gross misuse of this word come about?

I think it's a woman's go to. Because the use it that way to a lesser extent. But what they primarily use it in a defensive way when they don't want to risk anything or put themselves out there. It can never be that she was just emotionally unavailable, that she didn't make effort towards him, it's always that he was just too intimidated by her.

This is how women alleviate themselves of feeling rejected. But the comical thing is 9 times out of 10 they WEREN'T rejected. They just simply did not enough or sometimes any effort forth. But that's not the way it plays out in a woman's mind.
