Reaction to awkward silence after talking for a couple minutes?

We were having a short conversation and then we both ran out of things to say, she smiled and waved kinda shyly as I did as well (we barely know each other in class). Would a girl that doesn't have a crush on you react that same way? Or does it seem more platonic?

I mean technically it could go either way. She might just want to be friends or maybe does have a crush. There was one thing you said that makes me lean towards maybe she does have a little crush. You said she was shy. Now if a girl is shy she is not going to be as forward with people in general. Meaning when she smiled and waved that probably means more than someone that is outgoing. That does not mean 100% certainty that she does. That is just the way I am going to lean on this situation.

Thoughts on her mentioning names instead of saying "my brother" when I've never met them and then saying "oh that's my brother", like "James is working on this, oh James is my brother" as an example.

What I kinda meant was like,

"I used to work at "job name" " -me
"Oh James is starting that now, oh James is my brother" -her

Im curious about that interaction, like if that means anything since it's more personal.

Oh sorry I must have misunderstood. So if she is talking about her brother I wouldn't take it to mean much of anything. I was meaning more how she addresses you.

I don't really talk to anyone, so I was just curious because of how I think things logically.
We don't really know each other all that well, but I imagine with a stranger, especially someone you wouldn't really care to get to know, you'd keep conversation short and only say something like oh "my brother is doing that to", instead of giving me a name which seems more personal.

I didn't have a crush on her before but now I kinda do 🙃
