First meeting canceled due to acne?

Hello, I asked a girl out and she said yes. However, one day before going out she told me that she doesn't want to meet me since she has acne on her nose and doesn’t want to look like a clown or something like that while being with me.

I thought that she was turning me down since she already knows that I like her. I met her months ago in a course. But when I said okay, not a problem and I told her that we can go whenever she feels comfortable, she took the initiative and rescheduled everything with time and place. We are going to a restaurant next week.

It’s the first time for me that somebody comes up with something like that. Do really girls care that much about her appearence while meeting someone to the point to avoid seeing this person if something makes them feel insecure or not presentable enough?

However, after a day from the day we innitially planned to go out, I saw a story from her and she hung out with a friend of her, guy or girl I’m not sure. If she have told me the truth, why going out with other friends while having acne, but not going out with me and reschedule? Does it ever happened something like that to you?

Yeah we definitely care about appearances. I certainly do. I want to look my best especially on a first date. Now if she went out or hung out with a friend that could just be because she doesn't care what that person thought but cared about what a first date would think. I don't think it is crazy. The thing I am a bit fuzzy on is did she reschedule with you or not? If she did then I would genuinely believe she was self conscious about it. If she didn't reschedule she might have had second thoughts and had a poor excuse.

Yes, she did reschedule after telling me that she doesn‘t want to meet me that day due to the acne problem. So we are going out next week. For me it was a little bit weird, never happened to me before. But thanks for your answer!

Then I would think she was being genuine. She might have just been really self conscious about it. We can get weird about things and the way we look sometimes.

I've know girls that have done that. One girl tried giving herself a perm and didn't it turn out the way she hoped. Lol She explained it to her date but still went to a friend's house to hang out. Another time my cousin got a black eye from her little brother and canceled. She came over by me to hang out. Both times they felt really bad but they just didn't feel their best. I would completely understand. I've had pimples and felt funny just going out in public, not even a date.

Women care about their appearance. At least a lot of women do. She probably hung out with a girl friend because she’s very comfortable around her and doesn’t care much about how she looks. You’re a man she is interested in and she wants you to think she’s beautiful etc. The simplest thing can make a woman feel unattractive with herself so she was probably nervous and didn’t want you to see her with acne. I know I always looked my best when going on a date and pretty much always look a hot mess around my friends lol.

This is partly why im glad im not like other girls, if A guy likes me for me i dont have to pretend on a date to look any different 😂(well of course id try and be the best version of myself but im Not gonna pretend otherwise)

Yes, she could very well be that insecure. She thinks appearances matter more than reliability.
