Even with the morning sickness etc. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of both my pregnancies... And our two children are an absolute joy and blessing in both my husband's and my lives.

Our little family is now totally and finally complete, and we simply couldn't be any happier.

This is something men will NEVER, even if they live to be 500 years old, understand. Most men think it's a bit of backpain, getting "fat", & endless hours trying to give birth.

Pregnancy is a potentially dangerous event women undergo for 9 constant months.

Not just during childbirth itself is dangerous.

Preeclampsia which can & often does cause LIFE-LONG reprcussions
Blood clots = stroke, heartattack, etc. some women have increased risk after for life
Gestational trophoblastic disease - a type of CANCER
Placental complications - ALL of which are not fun, if not high potential for fataility

And a few serious, oftentimes life threatening or life-long, more complications.

It's been proven, by simulators, that men can't even handle childbirth the EASIEST aspect of the whole 9 months given the drugs, etc. used nowadays so asking such a question as this IS insulting to women AND mothers including your own.

Clearly the women who voted for the first option disagree with you. These are bad but they don't happen to every pregnant woman. Also we have no way of knowing if those simulators are correct not to mention men's bodies are obviously built differently. I respect women for going though the process to create new life and am grateful I don't have to do it. I don't see how asking women, 40% of whom seemed to enjoy it, is an insult.

I never said pregnancy was a burden, I said it's a danger. What I said is entirely different to your blithering response.

What I was saying is men have absolutely NO appreciation for the sacrifice and you prove it.

I think the fact that marriage is an institution and that abandoning your wife is one of the most unacceptable things a man could do shows that they did appreciate women for what they have to go through

Nope, I am too old to get pregnant now. There were a few times in my life I thought I wanted to have a child, but then I would always prevent it from happening. I never really felt like I was made to carry a child. Raise a child, yes, but not carry one. Never wanted to go through the weirdness of feeling another being moving around inside of me, nor did I ever want to experience the pain of carrying the child for 9 months or the pain of actually getting that child out of my body. Just wasn't something I wanted to do.

Actually, I remember my aunt. She gave birth at 48 back in 2012 to twins in her second marriage so I don't know if too old. But maybe, I mean every woman is different. I guess she was lucky the IVF thing worked for her and her second husband.

@friendofthefallen Okay, well... technically, I could still feasibly get pregnant as I do still have my menstrual cycle, it would not be safe for me to get pregnant this late in my life. But, I also have a medical condition that makes it nearly impossible for that to happen. And, I honestly can't wait for menopause to happen to lose the menstrual cycle altogether.

I am happy though that it worked out for your aunt. Good for them that everything worked out for them!

hear me out, if you're pregnant no one gives an f what you weigh. You are prioritized in most or all situations. And people are way more compliant. You also get thousands of dollars in presents for the baby. multiple parties, continuous support, and a baby.
