Why is getting a compliment so rare for men?

First of all we all know women get more compliments all the time but why is it extremely rare for a woman to compliment a guy.. I already know I'm average looking so it's been yearssss since I've heard someone compliment me on my looks but it would be nice now and again

It's because there's certain types of guy who wants to hurt, stalk, or harass women. Of course, they are in the minority, but they still exist. If a woman gives a guy a compliment, that can open the door for those certain types to engage with them more. There's are creeps who feel like it's okay to harass women or feel like he's entitled to a relationship with her just because she said something nice to him.

So, women try to be careful about giving compliments because they don't want attention from certain men. Women are smaller and can be weaker physically than men, so they have to worry about their safety when encountering men.

Just because you aren’t being complimented or see it take place first hand doesn’t mean it’s so incredibly rare next to never, the way you make it sound. I never fail to compliment a guy mainly on a nice outfit, and I started feeling comfortable doing it because I saw it through other women.

I mean I'm absolutely sure men get compliments but they're usually the ones who don't need validation because they prolly been getting women their whole life

True, the more attractive dudes is probably the ones getting the most compliments, I was just speaking on men as a whole.

Oh yeah well I was talking about us average looking guys.. I mean I know to a chubby white girl I'm probably Prince Charming lol other than that I barely peep a second glanced being looked at me

Well I used to get called ugly until I graduated high school so I just assumed that's what I am lol
