Why aren't more women interested in sports?

Not saying there aren't, we see womens sports all the time, but, why is it women are more likely to be in to the arts, than athletics

Hmm that's a good question dude. I think for a long time sports were kinda seen as more of a guy thing you know? Like when we were kids all the dads would take their sons to plays sports but not as many brought their daughters. And on TV and movies it was always just guys playing. But I think things are changing now for sure.

Maybe girls weren't into it cause they didn't feel welcomed or like it was meant for them. But now you see way more girl athletes promoted and sports for girls at school. I think once girls try it they realize it can be just as fun as anything else. And who doesn't like watching amazing plays and athletes? It might also take girls a bit longer to get into cause they got so many other options for activities too like dancing, art, music.

But yeah man it's cool how more women are getting into sports today. I think the more included they feel and opportunities there are, the more it'll keep growing. And who doesn't think the US women's soccer team is super awesome? I'm sure future generations of girls will get into it just as much cause it'll seem totally normal.

soccer is very popular and world wide too... in some countries it's close to 40/60 interest, viewership and all that...

and they're also doing it too... last Olympics had the most women participating and in more categories than ever before, so...

women in sports is not uncommon at all, lol

tennis, MMA... women have been leading viewer ships and main events as well, even above men at some points

I dont know.

My theory is men tend to be more competitive and more physical. Also it might be harder for men to make friends with other men. So sports make it easier for them.

But I could be wrong.

very generally speaking, competition is much more important than men. women use their social abilities to connect with others (though maybe try to destroy some in more subtle ways lol). also bring physically stronger, men are probably more thrilled by their prowess

Im definitely more into the arts. I only enjoy playing baseball and volleyball for fun. But i love watching people snowboard, skateboard and surf

Women are interested in sports, just different kinds. Thats because in general women or girls are discouraged to play certain sports, and encouraged to play a other sports. Either by parents or media.

With a good companion basketball or ice hockey.
