Why does my girl bestfriend hate me spending time with other girls?

Basically if she finds out im with any other girls whether its a friend or im on a date she constantly phones and texts me making excuses for help so i will go help her. if she doesn't know i get left alone.

We have been bestfriends for 7 years she isn't romantically interested in me she's has a boyfriend who she's been with for 3 years and she s happy so why does she not want me to be near any other girls

She could be the type that is jealous both of her boyfriend as well as friends. Maybe she would be jealous of female friends hanging out with other female friends as well?
