So my ex girlfriend and her family normalized this I would be sitting there and eating and she would do it and when her sister was over she would do it. I would get extremely upset especially if I just DoorDashed my food I would throw it right in the trash

Eww god no. That is disgusting. I don't even know how anyone could normalize that sort of thing. Sounds like people that have zero manners. Sorry to say that about your girlfriend but it is true. If I absolutely had to then I would excuse myself from the table or whatever and go to the bathroom. That is just so gross to do that in front of people while they are trying to eat. Sorry again but I wouldn't put up with a partner that did that. No way no how. That is just so rude.
