Because sometimes it’s a very private matter, and if you tell someone that you’re not okay, they don’t stop bothering you about what’s wrong until you tell them. And then you feel even worse for telling them, because you didn’t want to talk about it in the first place.
That’s understandable. Is there a reason you wouldn’t just say, “I don’t want to talk about it.”?
Because often that can have the same result as saying you’re not okay. Some people are pushy and don’t respect your wants, and will try to force it out of you.
Sometimes, the timing is not right. Hence i will just do that, and be upfront to him "i won't tell you now, but i promise you will know one day". And to which, when the time has come, i do eventually tell him the truth.
Also, it might be she feels like, if she tells the truth, you might judge her as overreacting, or she just overthink about whether or not she should make it an issue
“I don’t want to talk about it (right now).” is definitely preferable to “I’m fine.” in my opinion.
Ok now that u word it that way, true. Sometimes, it can be that we say we are fine hoping u kind of ‘pushing’ us so that we can tell it without feel a burden. Ya get what i mean? The feeling is like - ok fine. U are the one who push me to say. So i just say and u can't use my word against me
I never do that. If something is wrong, you will know about it.
Hahaha! Perfect!
I won’t lie I’ve done this many times and still do it sometimes
Why, though?
So I can be strong for others
