1.7K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. Not bad but there are many benefits to breastfeeding. I think all mothers should at least try for the first few weeks and or pump since colostrum is important in the beginning. It's also kind of unfair to the baby like they deserve the best start if possible. I have donated milk to premature babies since sometimes those moms don't get there milk in due to stress. Also formula is full of terrible ingredients like sugar or corn syrup. I don't personally think that stuff should be fed to babies

Yeah I think if they can they definitely should but I have a friend who couldn't which is why I asked the question. I feel bad for her because a lot of women look down upon that which is just wrong. If a woman can't breastfeed then what is she supposed to do but rely on formula?
- +1 y
Oh ok. That's true they could get donor for milk. And I agree more support and knowledge about breastfeeding and pumping should also be available. Most first time moms are very uneducated when it comes to that.

Mothers should generally breastfeed (even a boobs-crazed boy such as I wouldn't dare try to gaze at a nourishing mother), but some can't due to emotional and/or physical reasons. (My sisters and I weren't breastfed, but we were born in the fifties when-I guess-the idea of mother's milk for babies hadn't fully taken hold.)

+1 yI dont care what others think. My baby will be fed formula instead of breastmilk
11 Reply- +1 y
And you shouldn't be judged for that! My mom did the same and we turned out fine. I have a friend who did that as well and her baby, now a toddler is healthy as can be.

+1 yEvery situation is different & I don’t think it’s bad if a woman chooses not to breast feed her baby but hopefully she doesn’t choose to feed her baby chemical formula garbage instead.
A woman should not breastfeed if she has had, is, likes or is on the following.
1. LIKES Booger Sugar
2. LIKES Nose Candy
3. LIKES Devil’s Lettuce
4. IS A Needle Nut
5. IS A Pill Popper
6. ON The Sauce 24/7

+1 yIf there's a medical reason which doesn't allow her to breastfeed than okay!
It's always better for a woman to breastfeed her baby because there ain't no artifical milk in the world which is beneficial and important as a woman's milk produced by her boobs...
I'm with breastfeeding!212 Reply- +1 y
Oh ok. I know some women who aren't able to. One of my friends wasn't able to so sometimes it's what you can give your baby.
- +1 y
She didn't want to, or couldn't for a reason 🤔
- +1 y
She couldn't produce the milk. It wouldn't come out.
- +1 y
Which happens to some women.
- +1 y
Well that's a reason!
I believe that if the woman is tired, sad or stressed for a long time than she can't produce a lot of milk and sometimes no milk at all, here comes the role of the husband, he must assure a proper loving and safe enivornment for his wife to be able to produce milk, make her happy, comfortable and buy her natural juices to drink!
A hug and kiss from the husband to his wife before breastfeeding the baby will make the wife's nerves chills and relax and there will be more flow of milk, especially when he boosts her mood in a positive way... - +1 y
The father unfortunately wasn't in her life. She was a single mother. So I guess it was really stressful.
- +1 y
Here you go, that's the main issue! I'm not suprised then!
How come some animals make a woman pregnant and than run away? What about the baby? Why did you use her and dump her? I mean you made her pregnant, what about holding the responsibilities for your actions?
These guys are called males not MEN! - +1 y
That's so true. They certainly are!
- +1 y
I consider the pregnancy to be a gift from god, when a woman gets pregnant, she shouldn't experience all these awful cases, that's why i prefer sex after marriage!
The wife gets pregnant, she tells her husband, than it's time for celebration 😊
All the close friends and relatives will be invited to share the pregnancy event, eating desserts and enjoying the party and the wife will get kisses on her womb everynight so that the baby can feel the powerful love between his/her father and mother 🙂
The wife should have more time to rest, buying more food because the baby needs food too and ofc the husband should buy his wife fruits and natural juices so he boosts her body with all essential vitamins, plus giving her more love and cuddles, that's what a pregnancy means to me! - +1 y
It certainly is a gift from God! And it should be after a marriage so that she won't deal with being a statistic and being a single mother and not having a husband to support her. I agree. It makes it harder to raise the baby on her own. A woman especially a pregnant woman needs her husband!

That's true! Sadly in our modern era the society doesn't care about humans anymore, morals or values, all what they want is power, money and materialistic benefits...
To me, family is everything, if i get married someday, my family and beloved ones will always be my 1st priority and my family at the top, it's because if you can't make up your own world, your own rules in your own loving house than you will never find happiness, safety and comfort in the outside world because no one carea about the other and if they do, it's going to be limited!
Especially in this generstion, everything is cheap and everything has an expiry date!
When you have a family who truly loves you, takes care of you, a warm and safe house where you will always come back too and in this house filled with people whom you love and they love you back, than it's a dream come true! - +1 y
I definitely agree!
+1 yGenerally, i would say ‘yes’. Short of obvious and avoidable dangers, like the mother on drugs and/or alcohol, breast milk is almost universally recognized as superior to formula in every conceivable way. I think there are conditions that make it difficult or impossible for some mothers to nurse also. So it’s good that formula is an option. But i’d suggest only as a last resort.

+1 yApparently, there are some pretty big benefits to natural breastfeeding, like passing certain immunities and I think some nutritional benefits. It's supposed to also improve the bond between the mother and child.
I'm sure there are good reasons for not wanting to breastfeed, but it seems like natural is the better way to go, if at all possible.

Why do you think women that don't or can't breastfeed are vilified
- +1 y
Because women and men think that they should. They are judged if they don't or can't often from what I have seen.
- +1 y
Okay I was just curious. Would you breastfeed
- +1 y
It depends on if I can.
- +1 y
Do you think you won't be able to
- +1 y
I'm not sure. I don't think my mom was able to so I might not be able to either.
- +1 y
I'm sure you can

My boyfriend who will be my husband when we do have kids, supports me either way. Whatever decision I make with breastfeeding he will support it.

As he should if you can't breastfeed it's not the end of the world

Yeah my sister and I weren't breastfed either and we turned out okay. I think it's wrong to vilify women or couples who decide not to do it.

+1 yThe newly born would be missing out on the benefits of inherent antibody transference from the mother. on the other hand, the baby would also be avoiding the transference of drugs and pot if the mother was so inclined or addicted.
